Well, i couldn't found info about that.
Both airush riders Katja Roose and Rolf Van Der Vlugt uses woody cokie's boards.
so...... It shouldn't be so good !!

Hi Orwell. Thank you for putting up this question.
Katja and I are riding Monaro prototypes. We can compete with the best riders of the world with them. We are not riding Woody Cookies at the moment. Last year (2010) we have used both Monaro and Woody Cookie for our competitions.
If you ask me the Monaro V3 is able to compete with any board. But as we are pushing forward the rapid development of raceboards Katja and I use prototypes in the open class competition at the moment.
check this for some prove of performance

Thanks for you info Rolf.
Perhaps you are right about this, and the board is super.
But what i see is that if you two are the top riders of the brand and you don't race with it, why i should do it.
I could wait until Monaro V4 or the new board is on the street for everybody and i feel represented for top riders.
As an example, the guys from north, all rides the 69's in the production class.
I don't know if when he trains, use a custom or a prototype.
But what we see on pictures are that.

I'm no Pro Racer but i ride the Monaro V3 and have been since it first came out. In April i placed 3rd at the Australian Kite Racing Nationals despite only having a 12m kite when most of the other competitors where on 19, 17 and 15m kites. It took a bit of getting used to but now that i have got my head around it i love it. Yes it is hard work but it is fast around a course.
Orwell i hear what you are saying. but with a train of thought like that you will always be waiting for the next/newest board to come out. I kind of like the fact that as i am getting my head around one board they are already working on something new for me to learn next year.
Monaro V3 ROCKS!!!!

In this interview Adam Koch suggests to buy one of the latest boards that is working well.

Orwell, I think your logic is good. Although the top racers made a big difference at Sylt, the North production board and the Aguera both placed well.

Oswald Smith used the v3 at the Youth Worlds in May and placed 2nd and joint 4th overall. In SA's series him and I were 2nd and 3rd using a mix of V2, Sector 52 and V3 - the board is competitive - in the end the guy on top is also part of the equation.....
On the face of it North and Airush seem to have the edge at the moment.
