Caesar:
The bar pressure is a bit lighter
The kite is a bit faster..think the bridle was moved slightly towards the wingtips
The kite feels a bit lighter in the air...think it is slightly better balanced
The materials are better...use of different weight materials in different key spots..ex: canopy has 53G per Sq M is some places and 75G G per Sq M in others
Feels like the kite range has increased slightly at the high end
Hang time is no less in 2012
I didn't put one kite on top of the other, but I don't believe there is any, at least not noticeable, difference in canopy shape
Besides the chicken loop and QR being different...took the swivel out about the bar and it is where the QR is...and it works. The leash swivels as well...independent of the QR, front lines, and chicken loop
The whole kit is also a bit more expensive
The 2011 is/was a GREAT kite and you are right, you can get some very good deals now on the 2011s...either way you go you'll be pleased...only you can answer for you if it is worth it
