This is the board bag we are using here in SF. It was designed around Mike's Lab 70 but have put almost all 70 production boards in it not problem.

it is made at airwavesf.com
It was design around a Mike's Lab 70 but have had the boys at the beach test the Royal 70, the RRD 70, the New Nils 70. So pretty sure any prod board will fit.

Mystic make a specific course board bag. No rollers, but its plenty wide enough to fit a box rule board & there's room for extra padding as well. We have em in stock, but please call for a shipping quote if your outside of Europe.

Al-Kite-A,

Which rack do you have that raceboard strapped to? It looks like a kayak rack of some sort, but I can't tell which one.

How well does it work? Does it feel OK going down the highway? I'm trying to figure out the best way to put a raceboard in or on my car without giving up the cargo box that's already on top of my roof, and your setup looks pretty sweet.

Note there is a bungee cord holding it on in that pic so I mainly use it going down the street to Crissy under 20 MPH :)
here is the one I use.
http://www.rei.com/product/767989/yakim ... kayak-rack

Use it for year with my SUP but 1 day on the highway in high cross winds (35MPH +) it was like as sail and scared the SH!t out of me as I was getting pushed lane to lane.

I have been work on a way to get a SUP or Raceboard (without fins) under my box. I only have 6'6" clearance into my work garage. But have not found a shop that can make the bends to the bars tight enough yet.

I am think about modifying a pair of soft racks that go over the box so the board sits on top and straps to the bars.

Cool, thanks for the info. I've actually also been thinking about strapping the raceboard upside down to the top of the cargo box, it seems like that would be reasonably aerodynamic and secure. And cheaper than buying a bigger car, anyway!
