Those Who manufactures custom Raceboard? survey

The IKA limit has been lowered to 30 boards - submission by Polish Kiteboarding Association - it was voted 16:0 during last AGM.
It should be a bit easier for smaller manufactures now.

1. The best control is provided by riders from other brands. If they have any doubts they protest a suspicious board straight away. That’s reality.
2. Any manufacturer will do all to make his boards the same as much as possible to avoid point no.1.
3. IKA randomly will carry checks during competitions.

This season proved that from major companies only North and RRD managed to satisfy riders with board’s supplying.
Cabrinha failed totally. Interesting thing is they tried to implement the limit of 100 boards a year ago. How many people have seen Cabrinha Race 69cm 2011 registered in April 2011?
That was a main reason the PKA submitted to lower the limit.

Lowering the limit to 30 should improve availability as minor manufactures would manage better with their budgets.
Obviously we will come back to this subject at the next AGM with new experiences collected within next season. Positive thing is that the IKA is flexible for any suggestions.
We are still on the beginning of developments. It’s wise to take into account all voices.
Maybe it will appear that the limit would be withdrawn as we have fixed box rules?

For sure it is going to be the most interesting season so far.

We are about 60 competitors in Italy
Newind producing 30 boards
Nort producing 30 boards
rrd 30
Royal 30
Cabrinha 30
Aguera 30
etc.
I am sure that many boards will remain unsold.
why do not we do a petition?
ask users if they are right for them to exclude custom?

I still do not understand why
less popular in the discipline
should be mandatory to use standard tables,
enough tonnage.
North, and Ricci does not have problems to produce
for a small company must be very careful where you spend the money

I would like to let you know where I am coming from.
In 2010 I have won the overall Italian Race Championships with a sponsored rider named Giovannelli who used my production model.
No other brand has managed to do that,
so I can tell you that i know about production boards.
At the same time I believe custom boards should nevertheless be allowed.
It would be a shame not to sponsor something which has been produced locally.
We should promote local craftsman rather than let China do all the work.
It won't solve the current economic crisis but perhaps could be an example.
