Hello guys,
I am very proud to introduce to you the first race kite from EpicKites.
This is the "RACER" kite from EpicKites. This is our first prototype and will start from this idea and work on making an incredible race kite thanks to all of your help and ideas about having a race kite. You never know maybe this prototype will blow us away and might need just minor adjustments. Will start with a 17 meter and go from there.
Our plan is to come up with 3 sizes: 17 / 14 / 11 meters.
The 17 & 14 meter kites will come with a different bar than the XTEND bar that we have now and will be 65cm long. The 11 meter kite will come with a 55cm bar and still different settings then the XTEND bar that we have for all our other EpicKites models.
Once we have all the "RACER" kites ready, will have to register it to the (IKA) federation so we are set for the World competitions.

P.S. Once again thank you for all your help and for all your ideas and inputs which helped us come up with such a nice race kite. Now let's put it to the test and see what needs to be improved since this is only a prototype.

It looks like a "high aspect", true "Bow" kite... is that correct?

Is the bridle similar to that of other "bow" or "SLE" kites?

What other manufacturers are now making a "Race kite"? Up until recently, racers have just been using kites like the Crossbow, which were good for racing, because they were fast and went upwind well, but were not marketed as specifically a "race model" kite.

This kite is still in Prototype phase guys so little information available but it was built to win! I love the very high aspect ratio that will really help going high upwind. The bar will be different than the regular extend bar. Lines should be a little longer than standard and will have extension for better low end. I should get two prototype and once I can race with it in snow kiting I will let you know how it perform.

I also like the slight V angle on the LE, good shape for racing.

Available in 17-14-11 meters to suit all racing wind range.

So I will keep you updated once I receive a prototype.

Nowadays several brands offer light wind race kites.

We should have few prototypes very soon. Plus we are finishing on the bar that will be totally different then the normal XTEND bar that comes with the EPIC kites.
If you are looking for a jumping kite I recommended to go with the SCREAMER models from EpicKites. The "KITEWORLD" magazine voted the SCREAMER 12 after testing it, to be the best jumping and hang time kite. This is their quotation from the magazine:
"This is what kiting is all about"

Biggest Screamer is 14?

It would be nice if the world of competition finally gets it what is needed for the sport!
Keep quoting it!

This is the "RACER" kite from EpicKites.
Will you also design a race board to go with the kite?
If you do what size do you think? also a 3 fins or 4 fins racing machine
Thanks :)

4 Fin raceboards are obsolete.
