My family and I are here in Los Barilles, Baja, Mexico for a couple kite events with yesterday being the first day of competition. Here is a quick update: We did slalom competition and a big air contest with both events almost finished. Conditions were around 20 kts of wind. In the finals for men kite pro division there are 6 finalists with Johnny Heinekin, Bryan Lake, Jacob Buzianis, Jake, and two twin tip guys that I do not know (skaggs?). Highlight was watching Johnny riding a raceboard and doing a race board clinic on jibes! Very impressive! Here is Adam Koch during the slalom on his raceboard Attachment:

Which kite won the Big Air contest (and which kites were on the start)? Cheers Caesar

Hi Alex, What is this for a (Cabrinha) bar setup and what kite hangs on top? Doesn't it hurt with the ball banging onto your hand all the time? Cheers Caesar Attachment:

Cheers Caesar We have not finished the Big Air contest yet and I did not see any of the results posted yesterday from any of the heats from the previous day.

Cheers Caesar Attachment: cab-homemade-setup.jpg This is a racing bar with adjustable 3/1 pulley system that I built for my daughter Alexis. She had a 7m Crossbow on at the time of this pic. Once you start using an adjustable racing bar, you might use it for all of your kiting. I even used mine at Jaws. AA

What is the difference of your custom made strap to the "regular" strap which comes with the kite? Easier to pull/release? Cheers Caesar

You can both pull in and release from the same line so you don't have to take your hand off the strap to adjust it.
