REALLY, would you like to explain where you came up with that BS?
From the last results I saw Mikes Lab, Royal and Alex Aguera smoked the RRD! and when you say AGAIN. REALLY, never happened my friend.
If you want to pimp RRD I suggest you start with welcoming RRD to the race scene!!!!!!

stef to be fair, the guys who are getting top results on the boards you listed would still do so,no matter what kite race board they were on.
will get a pic of the strap i was talking about, but its forward of the rear straps on the centre line.
i need that strap for my kinda riding. they've gone and stopped putting strap inserts their in the new 2012 board.!

I think the RRD K50 won at least one PKRA race when it first came out.

Bobbi thank you somebody with some sense. My response was just to that stupid remark we know who made. like there is any chance in hell that somebody would believe that crap.
US RRD distributor is right here and they have had every RRD board on the course I can tell you for sure never seen one pass me once but like you said its about the rider.
I have some close friends that will be getting the RRD next week they say, very exciting and can't wait to try it myself.
Bobbi so don't stress the strap setup I had the same issue. Get the board you want an move the strap. thats what i did. I am on the new Royal 70 and basically added a NSI stick on insert so now the back of the strap screws to the front fin screw which was before the front screw and the front screw now is the NSI stick on. works fantastic. Will take a pic later today.
anyway the RRD board looks great.

Just remember the rules!!
Q: What changes am I allowed to do on my board ?
A: The board has to be raced as it comes from the factory, so everything which is directly attached to the board must not be changed. There are only very few excetions: you are allowed to slightly change the foodpads, e.g. to make your feet fitting on them (if you have big feet...), or to change the position of your footstraps for a wider or narrower stance. However you must not add footstraps in completely new positions. We are talking about small changes here to adopt to your body dimensions. In any case, you cannot change the position of the fins or the fin box type.

1. Only if your racing under the IKA rules.
2. Only if you get protested.

Saw the board at the beach yesterday looks really good. board looks small for its dimensions graphics are deceiving. PLENTY of volume in the tail section. board looks well built but time will tell. only slightly heavier than the Mike's Royal's etc.
I honestly just don't see anybody saying anything about this insert it's the extreme chicken strap so just makes you slower if anything.

What's the reason for all the race boards going to a V shaped transom (in plan view)? Planing boats typically have an abrupt, straight transom to seperate flow as cleanly as possible.
Is this an attempt to get the back fin as far aft as possible?
