i'll check for the versions !
so you tell me, white botom is ok white and grey not ?
lack off coating ??
Yes, solid white. Or ask for serial number (on the bottom of the tail). Last three digits should be higher than 100. First series (V1, patchy white/black) had issues with fin boxes. As far as I know, Airush replaced all boards with damage under warranty, including mine. Upgraded version was one with solid white paint (same blue/black design) and is commonly referred to as V1.5. That is the one I currently use.

just got the board, actually a v2 60.
got for times the 24 cm fins tho, so, waiting to receive the smaller ones for the back before trying it !
sanded the fins likes explaned on the sector fin topic so they dont touch the botom of the board....
just, question for people with experience, ideal wind range for that kite, to give it a first try ?
kites awaiable are 9m and 14m, wanted to try 9m first a that one has better relanch..
winds from ????? to ??????
thanks
as i understand it drives like a windsurf ?

mattthieu, depends on your weight, type of kite, type of wind (steady vs gusty), water conditions (flat vs choppy) and of course, your skills.
14m kite should get you going from ~10-11 knots and up, 9m should follow quite shortly from ~13 knots, just need to move it aggressively to get going. I'm talking rather steady wind (if 10 knots is an average and lulls are low and longer, that might be a problem). As you get better with the board you'll be able to push the low end further.
Upper end is more about water conditions than anything else. As long as you can control the speed you can ride the board. Big, steep chop will be uncomfortable at speed and most likely, cause you to crash.
For me the ideal wind range is 10 to 16 knots. More that 20 knots at full speed is as much about balls as about skills. You could ride it, but would you want to?
Cheers

Huge difference
Got out in 15knots and the board still went upwind fine but now carves better, much more fun in the waves. Deff worth getting the FCS inserts and playing with surf fins, it changes the board in a big way.
Cheers
