Seems stupid to me, the advantage with straps is that you can get it on and off quickly. the advantage of boots is that they lock your ankle in and give you more control over your edge and can stomp landings way harder.
the joints do neither of those things

I ride them and really like them. They give you more control and stability, but they are still easy to get on and off. Also I like them because I don't have to worry about my feet flying on of the foot straps. I definitely recommend them, especially if you ride straps and have been thinking of trying boots.

Well, i´ve just change to boots and i´m loving the level of connection
But I don´t ride in flat water and there are those spots/conditions where you don´t want to be tumbled in waves with a board glued to your feet
so i´m looking to this as a intermediate solution
@ k8boarder
1 more question: how easy is to eject in those moments where you just want to dump the board & nothing else?
Thanks

Just got done with a killer demo in Mexico and Joint reviews were great! The biggest grip with that they were a little stiff but they should break in after a few good sessions... You either love them or don't but riders are getting keen on them, thats' for sure!

Love the handles!
Have boards with and without...and even though you don't need it, it's just plain convenient to have!

They are easy to kick off. When i wipe out one of my feet usually comes out but is way easier to keep the board on/with you if that is what you want. I wouldn't wear boots in waves but I wear these in waves and the board easily comes off when i am getting rolled in a wave.
