thx, i,m still not convinced that it will give me more fun than my cr69 raceboard.....

2000euro,s for a litlle extra fun maybe?

I would like to know the experience from other people.
Maybe after a few months its not so great any more....

Thx for responding!

You can also get one here: http://www.magma-customboards.com/de/hydro-foil.html

You have the option for a full Foilboard, or having just the foil and box so you can have the box built into your own surfboard.

Hydrofoils are very different than Course Raceboards. The performance upwind is better and they are a bit easier on the body (once mastered).

The are a lot smaller and less fragile than Raceboards so it's less hassle to carry around and travel with. With the magma system you have a Surfboard and Foilboard all in one.

Here is a video of the Foil where you can see the box system as the pics on the website don't have it in them:

I have tried a couple and the best ride and construction were Carafino's...
Mango (the owner ) came by the local shop with his new boards and we had a chance to try them. I think he is on the forum as well so you could even try to contact him directly.
Good luck and have fun on the hydrofoil !

I have a carafino..great fun...very very different. If I had to choose between the foil and raceboard I would probably go raceboard still...but lucky for me I did not have to choose.

I have a beautiful layup carbon board.

I find it hard to compare the two, though, but for ultra light wind foils are super good... The Carafino has two different foils, I have the low aspect which isw super easy to go on...i was upwind in my first session. Riding comfortably after three. I did try old style boots and metal foil...the one Laird is using earlier and it was horrible.

you can easily find 2nd hand hydrofoil board for a reasonable price :

520 euros converted carafino + board
