Hello,
Planning to fly to flora in mid november to look for some waves . Would love to hear any comments from anyone who had been there before with regards to good locations for wave ridding? wind average at that period? and of course is that a good period to go look for some waves in floria?
I have been last year in North Brazil in same periods and we had constant wind in an average of 25 - 30 knots every day is that the case in Floria?
Tnx
Arik

Bom dia
No that is totally different than the north.....You will have some good wave, but the wind will not be there. You could have one month without Wind.
You can travel farther south to have some wind, but you will be in the middle of nowhere !
BUT you will find the most beautifull girls ON EARTH IN FLORIPA !!!!!!! i am not jocking...it seems to be another world
Até mais

Haven't been there but from what I heard it's like Mike wrote.
Flori is great for wave surfing (with paddle boards, no sail, no kite).
Wind-wise, you could be grounded on the beach drinking beer for the entire time you spend there.
Windfinder's statistics for Flori say there's only 30% probability that the winds are stronger than 4bf.

Oi tudo bom
This may be not much help to you but, I spent a few weeks surfing Floripa in Feb '91... there was light (15kt) onshore seabreezes some days - not that much significant wind at all really - fun small 2-3ft beach breaks.... The locals told me the best waves come in their winter which would be southern hemi - june/july/august. Maybe check the wind stats for that time of year?

I was there in november-december and february...
There is no constant trade wind like in the north off brazil...You could have a light see-breeze, and some days with 15 knts...
I ve noticed than the stronger wind came with Rain !!!
But 2 hours south off Floripa you could find some winds (in south of "Farol de santa marta")

Floripa is great. Windwise, not like the northeast of Brasil for sure, but in november you should still be able to kite at least three days a week. Lodge at Lagoa da Conceição, very cool nightlife and close to some of the best kitewave spots (Campeche, Joaquina, Moçambique).
About the girls.............
....Completely different from Ceará!
