Amit Inbar you suck!

Postby Al-Kite-A » Fri Aug 03, 2012 6:28 pm

How can you smear kiteboarding in the news and run a kite school?
You don't know what you are talking about! Here:
http://www.nbcolympics.com/news-blogs/s ... arder.html
Have you even seen a kite race?
If kiting is so dangerous why don't you go back to windsurfing and close down your kite school?
I don't know you but should educate yourself on kite racing.

FYI the top kite racers are just as fast and the Americas Cup 45s around the course.
What other class can say that?

Amit, pole-dancer: "The sky is falling!" Typical reaction when blown out of the water by a pesky kite.

Let it go guys. We should not get to that level. By talking bad about kiting and sueing ISAF they make big mistakes. Kiters didn't decide and we rather want them in than any of those dingy classes...

Did you read the article?
Where we race and ride we are down with both being in.
I will not let someone that is representing themselves as a kiter speak about the state of kiteboard racing saying we will all tangle and can't safely go around a course. :nono:

as a former windsurfer (didn't windsurf even once for 8 years now) I think the Guy is right.
Kitesurfing is about 10 times more dangerouse than windsurfing is.
Just think of all the 6-8 year old kids who will switch from windsurfing to kitesurfing.

He's biased because he used to compete for Israel in windsurfing!! Of course he doesn't want kitesurfing to take over from windsurfing, he wouldn't have a chance to ride in the Olympics!

As for how dangerous the sport is, as long as you are intelligent and 'safe' in the way in which you use your equipment, I don't think it is any more dangerous than any other extreme sport. How about skiiers and boarders that ride off-piste without helmets on?

To be perfectly honest, we drive cars ever day and don't see that as dangerous because 99.9% of the population know how to use the equipment safely - I don't see how kitesurfing is any different and I would much rather be around a person who doesn't know how to use kite gear safely than a person who doesn't know how to safely use a car!

i dont think it is too dangerous, danger makes stuff fun - i just think it is dangerous to say that kiteboarding in as safe as any other sport.

I take middle ground compared to this, to be fair one of the olympic reports does quote kitesurfing "as safe as any other sport". Make up your own mind, but my list of people i know of that have died and been seriously hurt kiteboarding makes this statement insulting to me. I love danger, but i also like managing the risks and without honesty how can you do that. Thanks kiteforum for all of your accident reports for everyone to learn from.

what a warped word of politics coming to kiting!

"People have died in kitesurfing.. I'm really scared that we are going to see some very bad accidents"

How many people have actually died during a kite race? I guess 0?

No wonder this article comes from Reuters.....
