Core News:
Kauli Seadi rides for Core
CORE Kiteboarding is pleased to welcome Kauli Seadi, a multiple Windsurf World Champion, as a prominent new member to our international CORE team.
The 29 year old Brazilian already has an extremely successful windsurfing career with three wave and two freestyle world titles. Many don’t know that he has been kiting since 2001. At first he only kited on the light wind days to complement his windsurf training but now he‘s spending more and more time in the waves.
Seadi still participates on the PWA Windsurf Wave Tour and regularly places in the top 5. At the last tour stop at Sylt, Bernd Hiss personally handed him his new CORE gear. Hiss and Seadi have known each other for more than 10 years: „We are proud to welcome such a famous member to our team. Kauli is a real Waterman! “
Seadi's Windsurf roots are undeniable in his kiting. Next to wave riding he is committed to pure old school kiting. He takes this combination literally, using a strapped wave-board for his massive jumps: “I love unhooked table tops – just like they were done at the beginning of the sport on Maui.“
After the last stop at Sylt, Seadi will be heading out on a Catamaran exploring his domestic coastline from South to North for a Brazilian TV documentary; he’ll obviously be fully kitted with his new GTS2. Kauli Seadi is not only an international team rider, he also uses CORE Kites at his Pro-Centres. His two „Club Kauli Seadi“ Centres in Ibiraquera (Florianopolis) and São Miguel do Gostoso (Natal) both teach with CORE-Kites.
