Just had bad ankle injury so want to go boots any ideas??

Get closed toe so you don't slide out the front while riding and on hot landings. Other than that do a search and you will find all you need to know about boots.

Unless you're 100% healed you might want to stick to straps. After surgery and rehab I rode straps even behind the boat( I know lame but had to ride!) Boots put a lot of stress on my ankle for a while. Lot of leverage.Just my 2 cents

Straps are the worst for ankles. No support at all.
Get the stiffest boots possible. If that still hurts, go strapless.

Cheers guys i was always having problems with my straps screws coming out the straps coming loose the pads coming loose

My 2cents.
With boots spend the first session(s) finding the right stance/angle for you. If you had problem there is nothing worst than stay 2 hours on the water with not trimmed boots.
I'm not so negative on OT.
