2014 KiteFoil GoldCup announced

2014 will see a new event series of KiteFoil events kicking off to give this new IKA class a home for serious racing - the 2014 KiteFoil GoldCup

Five events are planned as of today, with more news on any of them to be released as soon as they get fully confirmed.

The format of racing will include a wider variety of courses depending on the local conditions, to make racing as challenging and fun as possible.

The planned event dates are:

Mexico - La Ventana - March 13-17, 2014
United Arab Emirates - April 9-12, 2014
Greece - Rhodes - June 12-15, 2014
Italy - Gizzeria - July 17-20, 2014
Australia - Townsville - September 25-October2, 2014

The list above reflects all of the events that are expected to take place during 2014. ALL events and event dates remain TBC until such time as a Notice of Race for the individual event is issued. Sailors are reminded that they should not book flights or make any permanent arrangements to travel to events until such time as confirmation or entry forms are issued.

Rob Dean has been appointed Technical Director for this event series and will be joined by our usual race officers and judges in order to provide top notch racing as the first priority, with full on media coverage close behind that. And parties of course. Good times guaranteed !

The full tour Notice of Race can be found HERE, and we will put the events on the calendar with individual NoRs as soon as we have them confirmed and open registration. But mark these dates already if you are into foiling !
