Ocean Rodeo Contest Winner!!!

Postby windjunky » Wed Dec 05, 2007 2:20 am

I'm the guy that won the Ocean Rodeo contest. Well, today my gear arrived. It took a little while to get the stuff because the boards just barely made it out of the factory and they wanted to make sure I got their new one.

Ocean Rodeo really hooked me up! They sent me so much stuff, its unreal. It took me a while to unpack it all and take inventory. My house feels like a kite shop. Here is what I got

Zen 129x39
Pyro Pro dry suit
Thermal Underwear
harness
hood/gloves/boots/beanie
12m Rise (I bought an 8m to go with it) and bar
Bag for all wetsuit stuff (so sweet)
a couple of baseball caps
a bunch of stickers

Here is a picture of the gear. Sorry its such a bad quality, but I had to take it with my phone since my digital camera broke. Now I just need a little bit of warmer weather so that I can hit the water. I'll post a review as soon as I get some time on the water

Wow! Good job Ocean Rodeo. I would've done the same thing, buy a kite to give wider range, 'cept I would have chosen the Mako Twin Tip board.

Good contest!

Welcome to the Crew man! Be sure to get in touch with Kiteboston. Mike and his crew are big fans of the Rise.

Cheers,

Evan

Ocean Rodeo had a contest to promote their new website http://www.oceanrodeo.com and their new forums http://oceanrodeo.com/forum/index.php.

I added up all the prices of the gear and I got around $4k worth of stuff totally free.

50cm bar..................$380.00
Pump......................$35.00
Cold fire boots...........$45.00
Cold fire gloves..........$39.00
Cold fire Hood............$39.00
Cold fire beanie..........$18.00
Thermal Underwear.........$119.00
Session Harness...........$169.00
Spreader Bar Pad..........$25.00
Hammer Head Spreader bar..$25.00
Pyro Pro Drysuit..........$699.00
Go Joe....................$69.00
Gear Bag..................?????
Baseball Cap..............$14.00
Stickers..................?????
-------------------------------
$4,133.00

I pumped up the 8m in my living room last night and I can't wait to go ride. It looks totally awesome! No one rides Ocean Rodeo where I kite (Cape Cod MA) and I never saw any of the gear except for their drysuit before. The quality of build of everything is sick. I have been riding 2005 SS fuels for the last 3 years and these kites are definitely comparable...if not better! :D

Isn't that what the drysuit, thermals, boots, gloves, hood, and beanie are for?

Definitely, but high 20's, low 30's and snowy are just too much for me :D I think my wife would kill me if I tried to go out in that! I need around 40-45 degrees.
