Best Bash at Rumors Lounge/Hotel Ben Lomond
We were hoping to save the Best Bash for last, but because of the risqué Best Girl Model Search and contest, we were inclined to move the Best Bash to Rumors Lounge at the Ben Lomond Hotel in Ogden on Friday night. These guys now how to put on a party and locals are still talking about the Pray For Snow party they put on this fall with multiple projection screens, live music, and man made snow falling from the ceiling. This evening will be a snowkite night to remember.
Wilhelmina Urban modeling agency will be calling for and prescreening 100-200 ladies in the Utah area and will be choosing 10 ladies to compete at the Best Model Search at Rumors. The big show will be produced and judged by Wilhelmina Urban (with audience participation). This ain't your beach variety Best girl contest, these ladies are local, and will be showing off some of the latest winter apparel, Best apparel, and an occasional Best logo tattoo. Join us for the crowning of the first ever winter Best Girl. Music will be provided by the local band Shaky Trade. Pre-register for this event or come early. This venue will sell out.

Free Ride Sessions
Free ride the terrain, sliders, and snow features as you wish. The main riding area will be closed during the scheduled competitions. We are planning to use snowmobiles to transport riders out to the well known but rarely ridden backcountry riding areas, White Pine and Flat Top Mountain. These areas are just south of the main riding area and will not only ease kite congestion typically found at snowkite festivals; they will provide an awesome viewing spectacle.

Intro Clinics
There will be introductory clinics for those who would like to see first hand why snowkiting is so addicting. you learn the basics of kite flying and feel the power of the trainer kite, you’ll be hooked. Check in at the registration tent to sign up.

Suunto Challenge
Suunto will be onsite Friday and Saturday leading the Suunto Challenge. During the challenge, you can take one of their GPS watches out for an hour to digitally log your snowkite session. After that hour, Suunto will instantaneously download your data to a laptop. Suunto will be giving two Suunto watches away as prizes for longest recorded distance and fastest recorded speed during the Suunto Challenge. The X9i is wristop computer is also a watch, GPS navigator, altimeter, barometer, and compass. After a long day of snowkiting, you can download your session directly to Google Earth and share with all your buddies. Visit Suunto.com for more information.

Kitercross Races
The kitercross races are sponsored by Milliseconds Sport Timing. Starting lines at kitercross races are typically very congested before the race. Registered racers will enter the course one at a time at short intervals and will be timed using transponder chip technology. The course will have obstacles and must pass gates. The first timed round will eliminate all but three of the competitors in each category. The final round will consist of a traditional line start. Race categories are Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Sport, and Women Sport.

Freestyle Comp
The freestyle competition will be an open event. Riders will be judged on a number criteria set forth before the start of the competition. Three riders in each category, Men’s Open and Women’s Open, will progress to the final round.

Big Air Expo
The Big Air Expo is an event for those that want to go big. Each year kiters are spending more time in the air and this expo will show how high, how long, and how many tricks can be executed in one flight.

Andrew McLeanAward Ceremony at Pineview Lodge/Wolf Creek
Wolf Creek Resort is proud to host the SuperFly awardceremony, presentations, and the afterceremony "atmosphere." Enjoy browsing vendor goods, dinner, drink, music, awards and presentations. Andrew McLean, photographer and author of the Chuting Gallery (a Utah steep backcountry ski guide book), will give a “best of” presentation of his snowkite assisted adventures in remote polar regions around the globe. Sarah and Eric McNair-Landry and Curtis Jones will give their presentation on their recently completed Pittarak Expedition consisting of an unsupported kite-assisted 2,300 km crossing of the Greenland Ice Cap.
