Any new info on Rhino 08, more pics maybe?

Postby Puetz » Fri Jan 11, 2008 8:57 pm

G'day,

any more new info on the Rhino 08, must be getting close now for a few people to give an opinion. Will it be a Rebel 08 on steriods, cause I love the Rebel and my imagination is telling me the Rhino will be great too?!

Looking forward to new info,

Robert.

thanks for nice pics, can you give us some more.

Looks like bridles and not five line only, can more be confirmed if the Rhino 08 is faster or easier turning than the Rhino 07.

cheers Robert.

ps love to get some more pics

More low-end power dan last years model, which was already state of the art!
Even faster as last years model, it will also be North's speed kite

Stability and relaunch are my two big issues with the R7. I solved the 2-pump problems quite easily, have no problems with it having used the kite over 50 times already!

... upon looking closer to pics I realise that its front pig tales are a small bridle and not the whole thing being a bridle 4 line thing, looks like its still 5 line. Anyway I still would like some more pics!

cheers Robert

That looks like perfect kite for speed kiting, I agree.
Solid connections (many), but for easy relaunch? Don't want to get it washed in waves, that's for sure.
Would not mind to try it out for freestyle kine.
How much is it? $2000 w/o bar'n lines ?
looks cool though.

G'day,

I'd love to try it and find out for my self. After a cyclone passed by our neck of the woods we've had some waves and I got to use a few 08 Rebels and found them to be brilliant. I used a friends 16m, my wifes 14m and 10m, all of them excellent, especially the 10m. After getting used to the kites I was getting just as good jumps as my Rhino 07 kites, but where they really shine is in the wave riding because of the speed and the turning of the Rebels. When I went back to my Rhino's they were steadier more solid in the air but the turning was harder and abit slower making wave riding not as good.

There fore my initial enquirery is if the new Rhino 08 will turn faster and easier than the 07's making it better for wave riding. I don't doubt the the Rhino 08 will have good lift and speed, I expect it infact, but with the new bridal thingys and less struts, will it be more efficient?

cheers for now,

Robert.

if you think the 10m Rebel 08 is good in waves due to turning speed, I can only recommend you to try the 9m Evo. I took both kites to Brasil and before I had tried the Evo I had the same opinion ..
don´t believe me - TRY TRY TRY !

Foxi, How does the EVO safety works when in 4 line mode? Does it completly flag the kite, i.e. the leash is attached to only one of the front lines, and the safety lines goes through the bar the same as a 5th line? Do you have any pictures that show how it actually works?
Daniel
