Hi

Yes , there are quite a few

So starting from Tarifa going towards Málaga you hit :

1) Getares ( before you enter Algeciras ) the spot is ok ( don´t like it much ) wind blows strait onshore and under 20 knots makes not much sense since everytime you jump you end up at the beach ...nice waves though .

2) Palmones ( passing Algeciras behind Carrefour ) nice industrial views with some smelly diesel puff air
i hate this spot , kite there only if there is not enough wind in Sotogrande. dont forget to take a good shower afterwards

3) Sotogrande harbor ( passing San Roque / La Linea ) my home spot !! :jump: if we get enough wind to kite there it is a dream .... best wave spot ( for wave kiters ) around .

4) Estepona 5) Marbella etc , sorry never been there .... it has to be really nuclear not to be able to kite in Sotogrande so never needed to go further down the coast. so maybe someone local can give you more details.

Hope this helps

Saludos

Well
We all ( normal people  ) wear 4/3 wetsuits , but then a lot of Brits and Scandinavian folks wear shorties around ... :yumyum:

When the sun shines its nice if not it can be a bit " chilly "

and by the way .... this weekend were are getting nice 20 knots in Sotogrande..... 3 days non stop :jump:

Hola Panchito,

is it also possible to kite in sotogrande in July and august :?:
I've been in Palmones a few times but the guardia is not very keen on kiters
during summertime. :(

Mis suegros viven en San Roque, entonces Sotogrande es muy cerca.

Sorry but from mid. June to mid September most of the beaches are for any kind of water sports banned unless you go outside the yellow marks something around 150 m offshore. nether less to say that most beaches are full so i would be hard to even try to launch your kite .

It is possible to kite in Sotogrande ( right side of the harbor ) since there is a Nautical club but then you must be very lucky to get one or two days during this time with kiteable wind .

Ok, thank you Panchito, that means our only hope is lots of days with poniente in Tarifa.
