Remember when..

Postby BullsShit.com » Thu Feb 07, 2008 10:13 am

...we talked about new moves that will impress us more?

What happened?
...to the board off kiteloop
...to the board off handle pass
..to...?

And proof (vid or pic) of it?

I got nothing, but does anyone else?

How about this kite 360. But the 360 is done by flying the kite right out of the wind window and back in right around you. I have done this while on foot in light winds. It's a cool light wind trick. These guys do it in powered winds in a buggy (enough wind to buggy in anyhow). A pretty impressive feat in stronger winds. I think they are calling it a suicide gybe??

Has anyone done it on water or snow ?

just a normal kite loop.
With the right kite you can go just any direction and loop the kite without changing speed and or direction...

not a move, just a nice feature of new kites to get you out of trouble.
(newer kites are faster and loop easy with control)

Does that kite go around the rider as in being on the leeward side then windward side and back around to leeward? :o I have never seen that on the water...

Wow! That's cool. It looks like he's downlooping and whipping himself downwind really fast (faster than the wind speed?) and using this apparent wind to fly the kite around "upwind" of himself.

I doubt you could do this on water.... too much resistance. With a buggy you could do it a low wind speeds, so you could roll downwind faster than the wind.

yes, he is flying it right out of the wind window (creating a new window upwind) and then back into the original window. In a 360 around himself (sorry, not in a normal kiteloop).

MAN!!

thats cool
it surely could be cracked by a water kiter. think it would be possible on snow. but i am going to try it on water asap. it is kind of like a carving 360 on a wind surfer.

who is going to get it first.
