Those two kites are entirely different....
Besides, have you thought about a smaller kite to start out

Figure out your riding style or what you want you riding style to be then make the choice

You could get 2 t2s for the price of one sb3 right now

Cant speek for the turbo D in 11.. but the SB3 in 12 is a very good choice. Ensure that you have had sufficient lessons as the low end power is extremely impressive and therefore could catch you off guard being you are at the entry level. The SB3 will easily take you from 13knots to 18 comfortably. Once you have gained some experience, you will be able to go out in higher winds around 22-25knots. When learning, beginners usually struggle to go upwind however having a kite which performs very well in this area makes learning that much faster. Another kite you should consider is the Cabrina Convert 12m. An awesome kite which does it all and can be used at any level of riding. I sence this kite will really appeal to the entry level as well becasue it is so easy to use. Cabrinha kites are well known for their extremely easy to relaunch kites, but the new Convert has taken the ease of relaunching to another level. You cant go wrong with either model.
