Dogtown Kites - Venice Beach

Postby cattlebone » Mon May 12, 2008 8:24 pm

Has anyone heard of this company? Aggressively priced kites. I'm sure their not the top of line, look at their cut rate pricing, but does it fly? Will this become the wholesale warehouse kite?

Seems like a joke, but maybe not... There is no kite, just what looks like a rendering, and their video is just footage of other riders on other kites.

They have the domain, but their contact email is a gmail account. There is no way to order/purchase. Their apparel is just a cafepress storefront.

Kinda sketchy looking right now.... maybe it'll turn into a real brand some day.

Jim Muir owns the rights to Dogtown skates.

Alva and Jay Adams have nothing to do with the brand at this point.

If you are using the brand in the boardsports industry, it's pretty clear that it's a trademark violation.

Skate companies usually defend their trademarks aggressively.
