I'm returned from Dahkla yesterday. After a couple of day i notice this two defect on my board. The board is new, first time that i use it. No scratch, no jump, nothing. Only kite.
Can be a manufacturing problem? A structural collapse? May I ask the warranty repair?

Hi Wyve,
That is certainly not normal.
I would suggest you take it straight back to the dealer you bought it from with the proof of purchase and they can start the warranty proceedings for you.
Send me PM if you need more details
Regards
Shinn

Im in agreement with Kitedude... that the damaged was probably caused by airport baggage handling. If so ... is that a warranty issue or an issue with airline.?

The problem is that the ends of the board are too thin and bend along the thicker part of the board

My 2006 Nobile did the same thing, bent along the raised contours at the tips. I sent mine back and got a new board.
My 2007 Naish Thorn did this also, snapped along the contours in the tips, didn't get a new board this time though

Which is why I will not buy another board that is made in the same way as Nobile and 2007 Naish - ie foam core construction with the layered contours at the tips
they just can't stand up to the kind of usage that I put them through.

I've been riding a Naish 2008 Thorn with the full wood core and carbon fibre reinforcements and haven't broken it so far :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

PS I'm 14 stone and busted my last 2 boards kitelooping

Sorry about the board. Looks like it got point-loaded
-run over or maybe caught in a luggage conveyor belt?
The picture does appear to show how steps on the deck form stress risers = "tear here."
Not that it would happen in normal use, nobile engineering is good
But still food for thought on design -I like smooth cores without steps...
Although build styles are probably more equal under the wheels of a truck.
