Hi which kite size would go best with 12m rebel 08 a 7m or 9m from the info on north site the 9m would only give me an extra 6knot top end while the 7m would add 11knots. the smallest kite i've had previously was 9m vegas 06. Does the 7m really get going in 15knots???

It depends on your weight and board size, but a friend of mine with 80kgr and a 132x39 board starts at 16/17 knots.-

I have 14, 10 and 7m rebel 08 Quiver am 83kgs and ride a 132 twin tip and a 6'2" airush converse, well i did until i snappped it.
The wind speed a kite starts at and the wind speed at which it feels sweet are two different things, thats why i went for the 14m after trying the 12m for 2 months plus.
The quiver i have goes well together, and i suggest that if you can afford it you go for the 9/10 and the 7m to give yourself options.
I ride the 10m most, i find that even on the surfboard the 7m doesnt ome out unless its 20kts plus. I can hold 25kts plus on the surfboard and feel fin on the 10m and on the 7M it easy goes to 37 Kts still feeling comfortable.
My tip is to think about sweet spots not range i.e. consider the range of your 12m which will be good, but i bet its shit to fly at the lower end.
Start saving now - good luck
