We are 2 french guy who have the same problem on the GK Sonic 17 : a cut on the dacron on the leading edge due to a 3 seam instead of 2 seam lines
nobody have this problem on the GK sonic 17.
(PS : it's a fantastic light wind kite)

I have the 2008 8, 11 and 14 VSonics and have never seen this before!
I also had the 2007 8, 11 and 14 Sonics, also never saw this.

I have an '07 11m and 14m sonic, and the seems are awesome! No wear,
and they look real solid. Are you dragging your leading edge over gravel or
sharp object?
