Hi all
What is the status TX City Levee for kiteboarding after Ike ?
Or we can go only to Galveston East Beach? ( there was not to bad for :P last two week in October)

The levee is rideable. You have to park on the back side of the levee and walk up the trail to the launch site. Some of us have been taking bikes and back-packing it to the launch. Still closed off to cars. El Jardin is too crowded as it is, so don't go there.

I was told that the city had put up a no trespassing sign up with a threat of a fine. Is this not true? I have been driving to East and West beach in Galveston. I wanna go to the levee!

When was the last time you went out there??

It is re-opening on Friday November 7th. Looks like sunday will be crowded.....................aj

Wahoo!!!!! Open, Open, Open!

With the new, and improved beach it is a shame it is too cold for the family to enjoy. I think XL Kites is planning something to commemorate the re-opening, but I am not sure what and when.
