we have updated our Firefox extension Windfox. Windfox is a small program that displays the current wind in real time at your preferred kitespot in your Firefox status bar.
This version adds a new feature: you are now able to see both wind reports and wind forecasts! Move your mouse over the Windfox area and you will see the wind forecast for the next hours.
In addition to that, we updated our wind alarm system. Windfox can notify you with a blinking icon in the status bar when the wind speed at your local surf- or kitespot exceeds a configurable threshold. Now you can also specify a wind range and the wind direction in which you want to be notified.
If you already have Windfox installed, go to "Extras" -> "Addons" -> "Extensions" in your Firefox browser and click the "Update" button on the bottom. If you don't have installed Windfox yet, go to https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/3236 and never miss the wind again!
