Things are progressing well for the 'kite the channel challenge' planned for September this year going from Alderney to the Dorset Coast.
Take a look at the blog and gallery page for the first short training runs just held. We plan to hold longer endurance runs along the south coast in May and June.
We are pleased to announce that the WaterSports Academy Sandbanks are on board to support this challenge and will be part of the support team on the Ribs for the crossing.
Mark from Extreme Visuals is a professional photographer who will be covering the training and crossing and he specialises in Watersports and corporate photography
FC Watersports and Cabrinha are now sponsoring this challenge and a discounted fleet of Cabrinha Crossbow IDS kites and a Cabrinha Caliber and plasma boards have been ordered. The use of new kit is of paramount importance to reduce the risk of kit failure due to wear and tear.
We are looking forward to visiting Alderney in June to see the best beach to launch from and meet the Harbour master.
Local Media and radio coverage has taken place throughout April.
