I'm thinking about going there this time next year, how is it? I've read up quite a bit on it, and I'm mainly just looking for somewhere where the wife can sit on the beach and I can ride in front of the hotel.

I'm between T&C, Barbados (Silver Point), and Bermuda (9 Beaches)...... and advice on any of these would help.

lived in tci for a while. most of the kiting on provo takes place on long bay(south side of the island). 95% chance you will be staying on the north side(grace bay) area. the water and beaches are stunning and more to do around grace bay area. jimmy's dive bar has the cheeseburger in the caribbean. da conch shack has great local food. if you stay a week you should get in a good bit of kiting. pm me if you need anymore information on the island.

I am going in Feb and will be staying on the Grace Bay side of Provo. But it is only a 10 min taxi ride over to Long Bay. I prefer to kite in Long Bay, but have kited in Grace Bay too.

Say hi to Mike and Terry.

Hi Ed, Yeah I expect to see Mike and Terry. I noticed Big Blue may be doing some "Kite Safaris". I'll let you know it that works out or any other changes from last year.

David,

What gear are you bringing?

Last Feb I brought Sonic 11 and 14 and Mako 150. I ended up using only the 14.

Mike tried them both out and I tried out his Naish Cult.

Have fun.

Yes, we get the Summer Trade Winds. This past summer was quite good and most of us were riding on 10-12 meter kites. The summer has been traditionally our low wind season, but with the increased performance of the today's kites and boards we are riding a lot more during the summer too.

As we approach December are now moving into our winter high wind cycle. Just yesterday, the local AIRXTC kite crew spent several hours at Emerald Point in near perfect side on shore NE18-22 mph with some nice 6 ft. wave sets.

PM me anytime for more info on kiting here on the island.
