The Race day of the Kiteboarding 4 Kids event turned out to be a big success for Starkites riders. The conditions were not the usual sunny 20 knots that Cabarete has to offer; instead the winds were a marginal 12-14 knots. But this did not stop anyone from having a good time, and when it comes down to power, efficiency, and speed the Starkites’ designs once again proved to be at the top of the charts.
In the Pro men category, Starkites’ team rider Jan Marcos Riveras (JMR) showed us why he is world champion by finishing first. Jan Marcos used the Starkites’ ExA 13 meter for the race which gave him plenty of power to fly upwind to the outside buoy and back, strapless yet faster than anyone else!
But this does not conclude the success for that day. Just behind JMR, in the pro men category as well, 15 year old Felix Antonio (aka Posito) riding a Starkites 13 meter ExA finished second place.
And last but not least, in the Junior men category, Starkites Rider Nico Suriel arrives in first place using a Starkites 7 meter ExA.
It was a great day for Starkites and its team riders; congratulations to you all!!
