Balance Alvaro Pro or Wainman Blunt or Brunotti Pro-X

Postby Dub » Tue Apr 06, 2010 11:06 pm

I'm in the market for a new board, I've been riding Underground FLX's for years but fancy a change.

I was thinking about getting a Balance Alvaro Pro, 135x40 seem like the perfect size but I can't find any real reviews about them only marketing crap. Can anyone give me real feedback?

The other boards I was considering were a Wainman Blunt or a Brunotti Pro-X. It would be great if someone could compare all three.

Cheers

i ride the alvaro pro.

cuts through chop, super smooth, but a shit load of pop. like most freestyle boards are shitty through the bumpy stuff cause they're so flat and stiff, but this board just works, cuts through all that, super fast, and awesome.

crazy upwind, and ultra durable. you can run this board over a truck and then ride it

plus the size is mint. a lot of companies have really wide boards at the 135+ mark, but this one is nice and narrow at 40 but long for a nice developed pop over the board. personally i think you can't get decent pop out of the super tiny 129/130 freestyle boards, they're just too small.

not sponsored or anything, just stoked on a great product

If you were considering the 135 Blunt but don't want 43cm wide board check out SU-2 ProRider (in bamboo or standard construction). Blunts are pretty much the same as SU-2 boards (a little difference in board outline and rocker). SU-2 ProRiders in 135 and 130 are 41cm wide, super smooth in any chop, and you can load them so much for great pop.

I've been riding the Alvaro Pro since they came out and was earlier on Nobile 666. Now I have the A.O. Pro Wide and the board simply rocks. It allows me to progress everytime, pop harder and not have knee pain after all the unhooked kiteloops. It's the only board I use in my quiver. I would agree with what pdkite have said about the board. You just need to fin the pads you like the most to put on the board and you will have a sick setup!

2. of the top women in kitesurfing ride Balance boards and this tells a bit about them, no?
