IDS on a Rabbit

Postby Old Man Of The Sea » Mon Apr 19, 2010 4:06 pm

Has anyone successfully tried using the Cabrinha 2010 IDS bar on the Wainman Rabbits... If so were any modifications required..? Thanks.

I have ridden both systems. While I haven't tried the IDS bar on a Rabbit, I don't see why it wouldn't work.. With that been said, a large part of the IDS Safety system is built into the kite and it's bridle. You cannot expect the Rabbits to react the same as Cabrinha kite would in a flag-out or self landing scenario. I am guessing that it will however work better than the wainman mini fifth-line safety!

There is a bar mod for the wainman. Saw it on their facebook page back on Feb 22nd. I haven't tried it but supposed to flag the kite like the IDS system...

My two cents...

yeah currently using a modified bar but I still feel the safety is compromised, rumour has it that using an IDS bar does actually work; looking for confirmation before putting it to the test myself :D .
