Hey guys...I have a friend that is going to be in Athens/Greek Islands during the summer months...June-August. Can someone give me info on conditions during those months? Any place to ride for a beginner?
Thanks,
Mike

take the ferry from piraeus port to cyclades islands. 5hrs ride avg.
paros is ideal for beginners with two well organized kite schools and accommodation.
spots around athens are crowded and a bit difficult to find and get there.

Greek Island in summer for a beginner?
mmm......
The strong winds might be too much for him in the Cyclades.
In Naxos and Paros the winds are 25-35 knots.
I would think of Rodos island, as you can choose lighter winds near the northern parts of the island, around Fanes, Paradisi and Krematsi. Once your friend gets comfy with stronger winds, he can go south to Prasonissi for nuking winds.
From Athens to Rodos, better fly than spending a day in the sea.

there are so many beautiful places to kite in Greece not only Paros,Rhodes and Naxos you can easily check them in windguru and try them.....i would prefer for a beginner thermal winds cause the wind is steady......

Thanks guys! Man, after looking into this place more, I'm gonna have to visit this place myself. Talk about beautiful and warm conditions. Greece will be on my top kite vaca spots for sure.
Thanks Again,
Mike
