When will the 2011 gear start leaking out, any best guess?

There have already been photos posted of some new prototype North kites.

From what I remember the 2010 North kites were released last year round the end of August / early Sept.

my guess is that you won't see any 2011 gear from Eclipse!!! They never released any 2010 Bill H designs. Too funny.

Ok, this is still stupid to me.
Just release the 2011 gear not sooner then December 2010.
Why not just call the 2011 gear 2010 gear if released in August, main kitesurf season (summer)?
Odd.
I just got a 2010 kite 2 weeks ago.
Hey, it's '10 still. Last time I checked.

Oh, and why are the kites so stupidly expensive? Yikes

Any gear released in 2010 is 2010 how can it be otherwise ?. Naming it 2011 is misleading and just marketing as manufacturers fight to be the first to release the latest gear ("Our kites are newer than yours").

The fact is that when 2011 really comes around there equipment will be the oldest and less developped on the market as the true 2011 gear will be released later... in 2011.

What? Have you not noticed that next year's cars and trucks are mostly available towards the end of this year? If these were to be lumped in with the true 2010's, then how do you differentiate between them? It's like that in many other industries as well. Next year's snowboards are usually available in the summer well before there's even snow on the ground at most US mountains. Don't forget that the kite world doesn't revolve around you and your beach. The windy season is different in different parts of the world. The 2011 gear is generally released just prior to the start of the season for many markets including Oz, South America, etc. Even places like Florida and the Caribbean are just getting going right when it starts tapering down elsewhere. So for them obviously, it makes more sense. The rest of us are just lucky and get an early preview.

normally one of the first is Cabrinha. End of June we could see their 2011 gear.

I guess there is no media meeting this year where the first info came from. But somehow we will get it!

Mid of July is the PKRA Germany with a huge testing area and many companies attending...they should have all the latest gear if already available.

Finally someone points the simple reason.
Do you guys think that kite manufacturers can afford themselves to loose their budget sales in the southern hemispere ?
Car Industry companies are releasing their concepts about 3 years before launch of the product...
