I currently use the 2010 CSS bar with my RPM and am having an issue with the adjustable stopper ball.
On inspection I can see how the stopper ball works, it relies on the 2 thicker lines to pass through the bar in such a way that a cone on the stopper ball wedges these 2 lines into the centre of the bar thus stopping the bar at the desired point set by me. However I don't seem to be able to get the lines to pass through in the correct manner and the stopper ball is inefective, in turn when I complete a looping move and release the bar to untwist the lines the bar is almost completely out of reach and as happened yesterday the small stopper ball slid off the thicker part of the centre line because each time I let go of the bar it hits the adjustable stopper ball thus knocking the fixed ball off it's intended location
I contacted SS through their website in September and a brand rep here in the UK and haven't heard back so I've decided to ask on here.
Anyone else have or has had this issue and manged to get it sorted?
Regards
Nick

+1 here
sliding stopper hardly works (at least the stopping part of it). The fix ball stopper keeps riding up.
Slinshot produces the same bar for 3rd season now although it's faulty since beginning.
I guess more voices need to be heard to get their attention on it.
For one thing, stopper function seems to be the least complicated part of any kite bar.

The cabrinha 2011+ IDS bar has a spring which really works. It pushes the stop point back down to within reach.

Hi acctx,
They are talking about a stopper ball. Cabrinha doesn't have it and their crap thing they had a few years ago, supposed to be to stop sliding the bar up, never worked.
A stopper ball enables you for example doing a "dead man" or to keep the bar powered up.
The springs on the Cab bars are designed to help you reaching the power/de-power straps.
Cheers

Clean up the depower rope. Fine sand ingressed into the weave of the rope somehow prevents the stopper ball from gripping. Failing that a new rope is about $10-15 and easy as hell to replace. Should feel like new then.
