New Guy in Taiwan

Postby Ceahorse » Sun Aug 17, 2008 3:48 pm

Heyas out there. i been watching people kite surf here in Taiwan. I spoke to some people and even got a pretty good lesson on the physics of the power zone. Anyhow, i have decided that i would like to give it a try, and learn to do it. Ivbe yet to buy any gear and im not really wealthy enough to go out and invest in a brand new kite, especially for just learning, and not knowing how often i can even go. Nevertheless, what i ask is any tips on buying secondhand kites. What should i look for and/or stayaway from.

The beach i play to fly is Yungan. or the beaches close to that one.

THanks a million.

PS> if anyone, here in Taiwan, has gear for sale please message me

WARNING: You are getting into a very addictive sport, your life will revolve around wind and water. Your family and co-workers will think your crazy -chasing something your can't see.

Get lessons! Lessons are necessary to learning safely and quickly. Quality shops/instructors will provide gear with the lessons. Decide what gear you want after you learn a little more about the sport, the conditions in your area and your dedication to the sport.
