hi all, does anyone know what the purpose of the thin rope that goes into the vario cleat from the chicken loop.
Mine snapped today and i finished my session fine, but i'm wondering how safe it is to kite without replacing this?
to me it doesn't look like it serves much purpose but im sure your going probably goin to tell me otherwise. Is it just there to create friction through the cleat for the main rope that is bearing the weight of the front lines?
if the majority opinion is that its dangerous to kite with this rope missing, this leads me to ask the next question.
does anyone know the quickest possible way to get one in mexico?
i have an old 5th line which is in very good shape most of the length and i think its about the same thickness, so i was also wondering if i could make one from that.
Any suggestions and advice much appreciated, hoping to go kiting again lots in the coming days.
cheers
bob

the line is only to "lock the stopper ball" it not a part of the strength of the powered lines.
Just repalce it with any line that is on the same thickness, or do like me don't bother.
hop this answers you question
