Welcome to the sport! My advice is to do your lessons with rented gear like almost everyone else (your instructor should normally provide it) and parallel to your lessons you will inevitably discuss the issue of gear with your instructor. Once you have managed your first sessions staying upwind you will be at a point to choose your gear. At that point, kiteforum advice will be more useful with closed questions ("is the "KiteBrand 10m2" kite OK for this sort of use, is this price ok etc"). Open questions on what kite is ok for this sort of use result in interesting but very diverse advice, you won't know who to listen to..! Enjoy your lessons! Follow all safety rules!
PS It is not necessary to spend 2000 for your first gear, you will realise this yourself very soon.
