New in NJ --> KiteSurfing / KiteLandboarding / KiteSnowboard

Hi,

I´m new to the show, and decided to go fully into it. :)
I have Snowboard background and some times wakeboarded. But never had time and money to start anything with kites. But now finally decided to go for it.

Since I enjoy the snow and the summer, I´d really like to do all the sports named in the titel.

The question is which is the best call for the gear? I´m hoping to be able to use as much gear as possible for all 3 sports.

Since I´m absolutely new, I decided to get a trainer kite first of all (HQ Rusch III or IV Pro 300 or 350). If that works, i figured i can probably use that kite for my mountain board (bought it today :) ) at the beginning, right?

So how do I proceed after that, if it comes to power kites / bigger and more powerfull gear. As well as kite surfing gear. Is there gear which would be useable for snow/water/land? (I might need different harnesses for snow and water/land I guess, since i gonna wear thick pants in the snow)

Any help, tips and maybe people from the area to talk with are very welcome (NJ Princeton area)

Thanks,

Sven

darippah, that sounds interresting, let me try the trainer kite for some time, and I will get back to that then. How fast are you looking to sell?

badmonkey, I lived there for 5 years, right now I'm back in Europe... I know some riders, mostly guys from Sandy Hook, but some from south as well.... I miss Jersey shore ...
best place to learn is a Kite Island, shallow water and consistent wind most of the time ...

Hi Kober1974,

that's awesome, I would definitely like to stop by soon.
Unfortunately caught a cold or something a couple a days ago. So i couldn't even test my Rusch 300 yet, which arrived this week :(

As soon as I get better, I'll get in touch.
