less dangerous doesn't sound safe. What are the risks when using a roll leash?

I also did some research. I have found Go-Joe. Has anyone expierence with that? I think this could solve my problem.

At the moment I don't own any equipment. Do you think kite schools will allow me to temporary install a Go-Joe?

Go Joe is a good alternative.
Kite schools use it too. So I am pretty sure you can out it on rentals too.
