KSP News:
5th Consecutive Lay Day At The Aer Lingus Kite Surf Pro
Achill Island, Ireland – October 26, 2012: Today saw the 5th consecutive lay day for the Aer Lingus Kite Surf Pro due to small surf. A decent forecast for the weekend promises to see a strong to finish.
“The swell was really small in the morning, but we waited to see if the wind swell would fill in to the afternoon,” KSP head judge Brad Price said. “Saturday afternoon and Sunday, the final two days of the holding period, are still looking like our best option to finish the event.”
When the event gets underway, men’s heat number 8 will be the first to hit the water with Keahi De Aboitiz (AUS, Cabrinha), World Champion Airton Cozzolino (ITA, North) and local wildcard Mark Barry (IRL), followed by women’s round 1.
