If you leave stuff in your car in any country and go get in the water and cannot see good your car and stuff, there is a very large chance you will get ganked. I live near Taiba and people seem to love to fill up rental cars with no tint with gear and then wonder why in a 3 world country the stuff gets stolen. If you did this at a surf spot in Southern California same thing would happen. Smarten up you guys and dont leave a tin can rental car that is super easy to break in full of expensive kite gear in a poor country.

Tank you for the tip Adrian.
Jbrook Some more details. This was not a rental car but my own car with local Caucaia plates. All windows are completely tinted and the gear was in the trunk completely not visible. Also living in California I am sure this wouldnt happen there. There people actually search on forums to return gear that was forgotten on the beach to their owners. Anyways I figured gear is safer in a locked, alarmed car than lying around on the beach. Guess I was wrong there

Shit mate someone was watching you for sure, sorry to assume you were in a rent a car with no tint... but here in Paracuru a few weeks ago a guy had like 3 or 4 kites and 3 boards ripped out of his car in Paracuru in the carpark, my point if possible dont leave gear in car.
Will let you know if anyone is trying to sell your gear here I have a paper with kites numbers and serials you posted.
Good luck
