OK kiters...you have all been asking and so it's time to deliver!!! The first long distance race throughout the Keys is finally going to happen! We've all wanted to do it for years, and now we can!

The 2008 “Keys Kite Challenge” will be the longest distance race in North America (maybe the world) covering over 85 miles of the beautiful Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The race will begin from the Key’s most popular kiteboarding destination in Islamorada…the Sandbar, and end on Smather’s Beach in Key West sometime this Spring.

This event is brought to you by Seven Kiteboarding and the organizers of the Islamorada Invitational; one of North America’s most popular kiteboarding events, as well as numerous area coordinators. All proceeds will benefit local area charities. Full event details will be given very soon when the website is launched. (keyskitechallenge.com)

Stay tuned for details!

Ride On.

Brad great to hear a race is organized. We have a comp set in march and an event for another spring party here in Key West. It would be good to know what you are planning, as no one here in key west knows about this and you will need to get a event permit for the beach. Give us a heads up here, as we have things planned here.
