kiting in sout brazil: florianopolis and ibiraquera in march

hey everyone, we're 4 guys from Canada wanting to learn some kite surfing, we are going for about 3 weeks. Any good schools that youd recommend? prices? we want to tent it, is that possible/safe? is there any camp sites around florianopolis/ibiraquera? we are bringing a 12m kite and a board but no bindings, is there good prices there 4 gear? thanks 4 the help!

There are many good schools (Open Winds, Windcenter, IKC). I'd recommend Open Winds.

Bring all the gear that you can. Prices here are higher due to tax and sheer greed.

In March you'll find warm weather, sunny skies, no crowds, but not a lot of wind either, unless you're very lucky.
So frankly, to get the best value for your money, when you learn to kitesurf you need consistent winds, and that's not the case with the south of Brazil, specially in March.
