Combuco kite hire and accommodation?

Postby jinjaninja » Wed Nov 19, 2008 2:27 am

Just got to Buenos Aires and just discovered that i cannot hire a kite here so missing out on the fun...:( and as i left my behind i am now going to head to Combuco but wanted to make sure i can hire one there - does anyone have any info on availability and cost? If not possible, any ideas of the cost of second hand gear and place to buy? Also any tips on longer term, month or so, cheap accommodation would be appreciated. Not looking for anything fancy just somewhere to sleep cheap. : ) Cheers!

there are some place who rent gear.

Just get there and you will be guided to where to go.

And rooms are also no problem. Very busy right now, so not all places have something available, but there is always room to find.

Just post here when you plan on coming, then someone should help you with further info.

See you soon.

thanks heaps, good to know hire is available, especially as i just found out that shipping my kite to me from africa would cost me $8000!!! whoa.

i should arrive in fortaleza between the 28th of nov or 4th of dec, depending on which mode of transport works out the cheapest...and plan to stay for a month or so at least.

Thanks again! : )

good suggestion. There are always guys selling their gear pretty cheap. Look around at internet cafe, ice shops etc for adverts.

I will be around, just ask me if you see me. Happy to help with info.
