Watch him on Discovery Channel's Adrenalin Rush Hour.
He's the last segment of the 1 hr long show. Seen it last night.
To se hes crash on a nice big tv makes it even more insane.
Good job Dimitri!

Really looked horrible. You only live once, and in one second your life can flash before your eyes. Once your gone, your gone man......thats it. Ride smart....
In the interview he said that he acctually felt the wind lull when we commited to the jump. That is super scary!!! Something he could not control.

I hope the decision makers who rule the beaches are not watching. We already got enough bad press from idiot from Ft Lauderdale who kited during hurricane Fay.
You have to realize that the media don't show normal kiteboarders riding safely and being respectful of other beach-goers. All they show are kooks and extreme stunts. People see this and they think this is representative of all of us.

Who wants to watch normal kiteboarders riding safely on tv? Nobody, that's who. Nothing wrong with extreme stunts in the least.

I understand what your trying to say Ed!! I don't understand why so much pain and suffering is popular on TV.

I love to see Dimitri and other great kiters through down amazing moves and try extreme stunts - but the problem is the for public that does not know kitesurfing. All they will see is the idiot from Ft Lauderdale or Dimitri getting trashed trying to jump over the Empire State Building. My point is this kind of publicity will turn sentiment against us and can cause access problems.
