Miracle Kite Cup Montenegor 2009
Kiteboarding Open Cup of Russian Federation
July 11-16, Montenegor, Ulcin
"The most beautiful contact between the earth and sea"
July 11 to 16 the miraculous coast of Adriatic sea in Montenegro is hosting the Open Russian Kiteboarding Cup. The strongest riders of Russian Federation will struggle for a solid prize and the title of the Champion of Miracle Kite Cup Montenegro 2009.
The coasts of Montenegro are watered by the clearest water of the Adriatic sea. "The most beautiful contact between the earth and sea took place at the Montenegrin littoral", Lord Byron wrote. Almost 300 kilometers of sandy beach form the Montenegrin Riviera, of which the Grand Beach and the Ada Bojana island are the pearls. It is in this location that the Russian Association of Kiteboarding with the support of Astra Montenegro and Miracle World is holding a freestyle championship in the original tradition of the surf beach culture.
Miracle Kite Cup Montenegro 2009 in the freestyle is going to be held in the traditional 'PRO' and 'Amateur' categories, whereby the leaders of the Russian Championship are to be identified by the results of the season. The first event of the Championship was held in Egypt within the "Russian Wave" Festival. Yet the whimsical weather did not allow to identify the strongest. The second competition was held in June on the Azov Sea, and the winner was Evgeny Novozheev from Moscow. In the forthcoming event Evgeny is yet to meet strong competition in the face of Sergey Belmesov, who took his time to prepare for the competition here at the Miracle Beach. And the third most challenger for the victory is Alexander Ischenko, who won silver in the event in Azov.
The lovers to speed up their kite will get the chance to compete in the long-distance discipline, which require finishing the distance first in order to win.
On the whole the competition is going to be no less exciting than that well-know poker tournament in «Casino Royale», Montenegro. The intrigue might be weaker as James Bond is not expected to participate, yet the spectacle freestyle offers is likely to compensate for that.
The Miracle Beach», Montenegro is particular for the Mistral thermal wind. In the morning as the beach is cooled by the night chill, Bora blows - the breeaze from the land, which is unstable and weak. Yet by midday, as the land collects heat, the wind gradually turns around and brings coolness of the sea. By 1pm perfect even Mistral blows into the shore. The conditions the location offers are close to ideal: even wind, broad sandy coastline, minor wind waves which are helpful by tricks and the absence of corals, sharp shells etc.
In addition to that Astra Montenegro and Miracle World offer riders and the guests of the Miracle Kite Cup Montenegro 2009 the whole of the Miracle beach infrastructure: wakeboarding, hydrosphere for boarding behind a boat, skateboarding ramp. If the wind allows, Miracle Kite Cup will also hold beach volleyball and football tournaments.
Organizers promise not to let guests get bored - not for a minute. The Miracle Beach Open Air Dance Floor will welcome everybody for the evening entertainment programme.

take a plane to Tivat or Podgorica. The latter is closer to the beach, yet Tivat receives more flights from Moscow. If you have no transfer prepaid, give the taxi driver directions you need to get to Shtoi village by Ulcinj.
