I can comfirm Gansbaai. And those are not just sharks they're big whites. I did cage diving over there a few months ago but I wouldn't put my little toe in the water without the cage. Btw the place is also called great white shark capital of the world :thumb:

Anyone uo for a session in Gansbaai

West Australia is far more dangerous,
Its been a long while since any one was attacked here on the east coast.

thats a thing to remember, a beach may have a clean record of zero attacks, but that might be because no one enters the water there due to its fearsome shark soup reputation,
one of the most beautiful beaches in SA was empty as I drove round trying to find the entrance to it, stopped to ask and was warned off due to the shark reputation, massive golden beach, rolling 6ft clean waves, paradise! not a soul on the sands or water.

absolute f....ing bullshit.

This is just typical useless misinformation. Pictures like that and an article that talks about high possibility...it ONLY serves to scare people, to make us not worry so much that we are exterminating sharks in the oceans and that the ACTUAL probability of being attacked by a shark is 0 (
It might be 0.0000000000000000001).

There is something so wrong when kids from Norway that does not have sharks (except for a veggie shark) are afraid of swimming in the ocean. Let's not be part of that hysteria. Screw that.

Hysteria sucks and BILD ist one of the worst newspapers I know!

But swimmig in the Shark Alley in Gansbaai is really not a good idea and the possibility of getting bitten is supposedly far higher than 0.0000000000000000001(1 out of 10 quintillion swimmers gets bitten ^^). I've seen the place and talked to the locals and shark experts. None of them would advise you to swim there :D

yeah sure..but that is not how these articles work.
What purpose does an article like that serve outside of generating hysteria and more pageviews for the newspaper?
None what so ever except increase anxiety, and creating this untrue picture of oceans that are dangerous...because of sharks, which isn't true. I think the Norwegian newspapers have a shark article or two per month. It is absolutely insane.
These articles create and increase the false belief that sharks are attacking whenever they are around...when the truth is that they aren't looking for us at all....well I guess until we've taken out the last fish and they have nothing else left to eat..or we've taught them that humans are food by chumming around cages.
