Regarding the Royal ERA We have ridden them and made a video too.
See our site http://www.anabatickiteboarding.com/page.php?id=237 for the review and for the video... http://www.anabatickiteboarding.com/page.php?id=225

The New 08/09 SOLO is out now too, I'd be interested in rider reviews of this kite. So if you have one let me know what you think.

Cheers Lee

I have the 12M era. Good kite. More stable than my c-kites, with equivalent power to my 15M c-kite. This is the only sle I have ever bought though I've flown many. I typically fly 5 line c-kites with the total depower bar (which I love). With the RRD total depower bar you have to push away to depower. With the royal you can just let go of the bar. With c-kites, I pay attention to where it is in the window to prevent hindenburgs. With the royal, you don't have to worry about that kind of stuff when you let go of the bar. The era is interesting in that it turns fast, then accelerates and gives a power spike out of the turn. The 12M is a good light wind option with a surfboard for the average weight rider. To me the era is an improvement over my 5 line c-kites in that it has one less line, less wear/tear on the bar, has more low end/size, and is more user friendly.

Remember when the brand first dropped, it was all about simplicity! One kite, one board. Go anywhere, do anything.
