Where to go from Cabarete Dominican Republic??

Hi guys,

Im currently in the DR staying in Cabarete, due to leave in a couple of weeks, and I have 2 weeks free after this before I return home. I would like to visit another location which has easy access from here and also back to Miami, and I would like to have an "idyllic Caribbean experience".... ie clear possibly flat (ideally shallow!) water, good wind, and nice accommodation but not too expensive. (Looked at Turks Providenciales but its super expensive!) I also need to go somewhere thats pretty safe as I am a girl travelling alone.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Im looking at Puerto Rico, possibly Margarita but not sure yet how easy it is to get to.

Any help much appreciated - I am in Cabarete on your recommendations and having a great time!
